LINDSAY GIRLS SCHOOL

Past Pupils' Association

OUR HISTORY

Far around the world thy children sing their song

From East an West their voices sweetly blend

……….Praising the Load in Whom young lives are strong

These opening lines of the original school hymn spells out the vision of the founders a century ago, when at 1030hrs on Monday 03rd September 1900, Bambalapitiya Girls’ High School came into being

PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

I am truly honored and happy to share my thoughts, as the President and the Principal of Lindsay Girls’ School for the inaugural launch of the Past Pupils’ Association’s official website.
As the principal, I embraced the challenge of carrying the legacy of this proud girls’ school, which has a history of over 120 years. I truly believe this has been the intention of old principals, teachers, students, and everyone who has an interest in the school.
Even though the main purpose is “Empowering pupils in gaining and giving knowledge within the concept of education” the main objective of education is to create a complete human being with moral values. By developing Head, Hand, and Heart (3H) Lindsay has been one of the leading girl’s schools in the country in empowering women to face any upcoming challenge with no fear and hesitation.
I humbly appreciate all the efforts of the Lindsay Old Girl’s Association, which they carry out for the development of the school with no conditions. I wish the OGA of  Lindsay all the success in every good deed carried out by honoring the school motto “Onwards and Upwards”
